How it works
Something urgent in a matter
Say so when you write. A deadline that moves next week and a question about a report are not the same request, and they should not sit in the same queue.
Something wrong with the software
Tell us what you were doing and what happened. The workspace keeps an append-only audit log, which usually means we can see exactly what occurred rather than asking you to reproduce it.
Accounts and billing
Plan changes, extra analysis tokens, invoices and payment problems. Most billing is also visible on the Billing page inside Codira ESQ.
Canceling
Choose Cancel subscription on the Billing page inside Codira ESQ — or, if you cannot sign in, write from an account holder’s email address with your firm’s name. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the month you have paid for; the Cancellation & Refund Policy has the details.

Word and Excel Add-ins
Installing
- Your firm’s Microsoft 365 admin can deploy Codira ESQ for Word and Codira ESQ for Excel from the Microsoft 365 admin center (Settings → Integrated apps).
- The add-ins are also coming to Microsoft Marketplace.
- It can take up to a day for them to appear after an admin deploys them.
Signing in
- Use your Codira ESQ account. The add-ins are for attorneys, paralegals and administrators on a matter.
- If the sign-in window doesn’t open, allow pop-ups for Office.
“Can’t reach Codira ESQ”
- Check your connection. If your firm restricts internet access, ask IT to allow office.docketiq.xyz and app.docketiq.xyz.
Before a document leaves the firm
- In Word, open Codira ESQ → Settings → Remove Codira ESQ data.
